Child Sex Trafficking Training: Day Two

The Child Advocacy Center is proud to present this two-day training event in conjunction with the National Criminal Justice Training Center. Please note there are two separate days for the training with different objectives. Each day will need to be registered for individually at the link below.

Day Two - April 21st, 2020: Child Sex Trafficking Investigations Specialized Training
Explore current, trauma-informed investigative techniques to effectively respond and corroborate the sex trafficking investigation. Acquire cumulative corroboration strategies to identify and recover evidence. Learn how to effectively overcome challenges you may encounter with the trafficking suspect interview. Explore the role of technology in child sex trafficking investigations, proactive techniques to identify victims, and relevant legal issues.

Tentative Schedule:
8:00am - Welcome and Introductions
8:15am-10:00am - Corroborating the Investigation, Making the Victim’s Statement Real
10:00am-12:00pm - Interrogation of the Child Sex Trafficking Suspect
12:00pm-1:00pm - Lunch
1:00pm-3:00pm - The Role of Technology in Trafficking and Commercial Sexual Exploitation
3:00pm-4:45pm - Legal Issues Related to Child Sex Trafficking Cases
4:50pm-5:00pm - Closing and Evaluations

Upon completion of this training, you will be able to:
• Utilize a trauma informed approach to effectively corroborate the investigation
• Develop cumulative corroboration strategies for the CST investigation
• Identify technology facilitated evidence.
• Improve suspect interview skills.

Cost:
There is NO FEE to attend this training; however, pre-registration is required. The deadline to register is March 16, 2020. Registrations will still be accepted after this date based on your qualifications to attend and if seats are still available.
