Child Abuse & Neglect 101
Description:
This course prepares mandatory reporters with the knowledge and skills to recognize and report child abuse and neglect along with an overview of the different types of abuse and their prevalence in Nebraska.
Objectives:
• Understand the child protection system
• Explore BraveBe and CAC overview
• Recognize barriers to reporting and master mandatory reporting requirements
• Identify indicators of child abuse and neglect
Target Audience:
This training is intended for school personnel, childcare providers, medical and mental health professionals, youth-serving organizations, CASA volunteers, foster parents, service providers and church leaders.
